What the line is built for
This line cuts aluminium coil up to 2600 mm wide and 1.5 mm thick to lengths of 4000 mm. The strip is levelled in a 15-roll cassette before it reaches the shear.

The leveller
The leveller carries 15 rolls in a four-high arrangement, seven over eight, one of which is a feed shaft. The rolls are Ø100 mm with an effective face of 2600 mm, made in 40Cr, high-frequency hardened and hard chrome plated. Above and below them run four rows of short backup rolls, Ø90 mm in 45# steel, hardened the same way.
